The 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 4x4 SuperCab is a rare find in todays market, showing just 55,903 miles and carrying a single-owner history. Named the 2004 North American Truck of the Year, the F-150 marked a major step forward in capability, comfort, and refinement, and this FX4 edition takes that foundation further with features built for the Northwest.
Under the hood, the 5.4L Triton V8 with 24-valve technology delivers the kind of low-end torque and dependable strength that has made Ford trucks legendary. Paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a true four-wheel-drive system, it has the muscle for towing, hauling, or simply tackling mountain passes and gravel roads with confidence.
The FX4 package enhances off-road toughness with skid plates, upgraded shocks, and a strengthened suspension, giving this truck the ability to handle forest service roads or snowy highways east of the Cascades. A paint-to-match hard tonneau cover protects your gear from the regions unpredictable weather, while black tubular running boards provide easy access and a rugged look.
Inside, the cabin is designed for durability and comfort. The Dark Flint interior features a premium sport cloth 40/20/40 front seat with a fold-down center console, a split-folding rear bench, and thoughtful amenities like power windows, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and a six-disc CD changer. Practical touches such as a full gauge cluster with compass keep the focus on utility while still making long drives enjoyable.
Safety and convenience come built in with ABS brakes, occupant-sensing airbags, fully automatic headlights, and alloy wheels. For a truck of this era, the low mileage makes it stand out, offering plenty of life left while maintaining its reputation for toughness.
Finished in Silver Metallic, this FX4 has a timeless, no-nonsense presence that looks equally at home in downtown Seattle, along the Washington coast, or parked at a trailhead in the Cascades. With its low mileage, one-owner history, and Northwest-ready features, this 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 4x4 SuperCab is a well-preserved example of a classic truck that still has plenty to give.

Truck has original motor and drive train.
By Scuba | on Monday, August 08, 2016
Original motor and drive train. 3rd set of brakes and 2nd battery. Keep up with oil changes and general service. Tows a double axel trailer with a 4000 pound tractor. Rust areas around wheel well lip openings. Very happy with the longevity of this truck. Maybe purchasing a new F-150. Hope the new truck last as long. And performs like my 2005 F-150.… - 4.0
Review after 2 1/2 years of ownership...
By Steve | on Monday, February 27, 2023
Bought this truck at 145,000 miles for $5500 private sale in NC, then put $4500 worth of body work and catch up maintenance into it, so $10k to start. Now I'm in NH. Overall for a 16 year old truck I'm very satisfied, especially when you look at the price of new trucks nowadays that are only about 5-10% better than this one, it's a great value. Smooth ride, good power, still looks good. Wish it got better gas mileage, but oh well. Gas is cheap (laughing VERY hard). Very practical, has served me well while I'm building my house. I've had to replace two coil packs and spark plugs since the initial maintenance, this seems to be a soft spot in this 5.4L v8 engine. Not hard to do, depending on which cylinder is misfiring. The back half of the engine is a bit far underneath the base of the windshield, can be tricky. But oodles of parts are available and plenty of online videos to help you do your own maintenance. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I'm such a stickler for gas mileage but it's served me very well.… - 5.0
Still a solid dependable truck!
By Nash | on Monday, September 23, 2019
290,000+ miles and many more to go! I absolutely love this truck, no massive issues, just general wear and tear and minor repairs in the almost three years I've owned it. I know it'll be at 390,000 miles before I know it!…
