Land Rover is Better than it used to be for sure.
by David H on Monday, July 15, 2024
Reviews are like feedback on eBay. EVERYONE who is disappointed will leave a bad review. MANY people who are satisfied don't bother to take the time. I was one of those who said I would Never buy another Land Rover after a Freelander Failure. Then I saw the New Evoque in 2013 and loved the look but stayed away... until I couldn't help but to do some research on the new 'Baby Rover'. What I found intrigued me. It's the 2012-2017 models that use a variation on the Ford Ecoboost engine. NO TIMING BELT TO FAIL. In fact since I've done some service under the hood being an Ex-Ford Tech there is no shortage of Ford part numbers (even on the hoses) so I convinced myself that LR had addressed past engine issues and employed the help of a Company that I support. It wasn't until 2018 that they started using their own Ingenium engine as they call it. I can't speak for that one, but I've had a great time so far w/ a 1st generation model as a second owner adding another 42k miles to it and I don't think there's anything else on the market that looks as cool in a small package. - 5.0

I received this car by total accident. But I’ve fallen in love with it. Runs and drives great. SO COMFORTABLE. - 4.0
Wonderful car and very reliable
by Rick on Friday, April 03, 2015
Long turbo lag from a complete stop so it's slow to start out but then has nice pickup, especially given the 4 cylinder. Beautifully styled inside and out and with no reliability issues. No squeaks or wear after 42000 miles.
